Sustainability is at the heart of BMK Group’s business philosophy, reflected in our commitment to creating long-term positive impacts across environmental, social, and economic dimensions.
Uganda Sickle Cell Rescue Foundation (USCRF)
In July 2013, the Uganda Sickle Cell Rescue Foundation (USCRF) was founded as a not-for-profit organization with the aim of spreading awareness about sickle cell disease, addressing its social implications, and empowering those affected economically. Additionally, the foundation works to reduce the stigma associated with the condition in Uganda. Initiated by Hajj Bulaimu Muwanga Kibirige of BMK Group and his associates, USCRF has led efforts to ensure sickle cell disease is no longer neglected. The foundation has championed initiatives such as raising awareness, providing testing, and offering free medication, making significant strides in supporting affected individuals and communities across the country.

Free Education
Education plays a crucial role in creating sustainable communities. By offering free education, BMK Group directly addresses one of the most pressing challenges faced by many Ugandan families: access to quality education.
The construction of the Muslim school located in Bwebajja named UBAYI Islamic highlights BMK’s efforts to support education with a specific focus on nurturing faith-based learning.
Tree Planting
In Mityana, a region heavily impacted by deforestation from farming, logging, and land clearing, BMK Group launched tree planting initiatives to restore the region’s ecological balance. Working closely with local communities, the company’s reforestation efforts aim to revitalize forest cover, enhance soil quality, and promote biodiversity. These projects not only address environmental challenges but also create job opportunities, improve farming conditions, and combat climate change.
Similarly, in Masaka, where deforestation from charcoal production and agriculture has taken a toll, BMK Group’s tree planting activities focus on reversing environmental damage, preserving water sources, and supporting Uganda’s environmental resilience.
United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs)
BMK Group prioritizes responsible practices that contribute to the well-being of communities and future generations aligned with the UN SDGs.
